दो सर्पों की कहानी -पंचतंत्र

प्राचीन काल की बात है, एक नगर में देवशक्ति नाम के राजा रहा करता थे । उसके पुत्र के पेट में एक सर्प ने अपना डेरा जमा लिया था। पेट में सर्प के होने से राजकुमार दिन प्रतिदिन कमजोर होता जा रहा था। यह देख राजा ने कई प्रसिद्ध वैद्यों  से उसका उपचार कराया, लेकिन राजकुमार के स्वास्थ्य में किसी तरह का सुधार नजर नहीं आ  रहा था। राजकुमार के स्वास्थ्य के कारण राजा हमेशा परेशान रहते ।

             यह देखकर एक दिन राजकुमार अपने राज्य से दूर दूसरे राज्य में चला गया और मंदिर में भिखारी की तरह रहने लगा।राजकुमार जिस राज्य में गया था, वहां बलि नाम के  राजा राज करते थे । उनकी दो सुन्दर राजकुमारियाँ  थीं। दोनों प्रतिदिन अपने पिता का आशीर्वाद लेने जाती थीं। एक सुबह दोनों में से  एक बेटी ने राजा को प्रणाम करते हुए कहा " महाराज की जय हो, आपकी कृपा से ही संसार में सब सुखी हैं।" वहीं दूसरी बेटी ने कहा "महाराजा, ईश्वर आपको आपके कर्मों का फल दे। यह सुनकर राजा क्रोधित हो जाता है और मंत्रियों को आदेश देता है कि कठोर  शब्द बोलने वाली इस राजकुमारी का विवाह  किसी गरीब लड़के के साथ कर दो, ताकि ये अपने कर्मों का फल स्वयं चख ले।" राजा के आदेश के चलते मंत्री मंदिर के पास बैठे भिखारी से उसका  विवाह  कर देते हैं। वह भिखारी वही राजकुमार था, जिसके पेट में सर्प ने डेरा बना रखा था। राजकुमारी उसे ही अपना पति मानकर सेवा करने लगती है। 

                  कुछ दिन बाद दोनों मंदिर छोड़कर दूसरे देश की यात्रा पर निकल जाते हैं, क्योंकि दोनों मंदिर में रहना सही नहीं समझते। यात्रा  के दौरान रास्ते में राजकुमार थक जाता है और एक पेड़ के नीचे विश्राम करने लगता है। राजकुमारी पास के गांव से भोजन लाने के लिए चली जाती है। जब वह वापस आती है, तो सोये  हुए पति के मुंह से एक सर्प को निकलते देखती है। साथ ही पास के एक बिल से भी सर्प निकलता है। दोनों सर्प बात करने लगते हैं, जिसे छिपकर राजकुमारी सुन लेती है। एक सर्प कहता है " तुम इस राजकुमार के पेट में रहकर इसे तकलीफ क्यों दे रहे हो। साथ ही तुम खुद के जीवन को भी खतरे में डाल रहे हो। अगर किसी ने राजकुमार को जीरा और सरसों का सूप पिला दिया , तो तुम्हारी मृत्यु हो जाएगी।" फिर राजकुमार के मुंह से निकला सर्प कहता है " तुम इस बिल में रखे सोने के घड़ों की रक्षा क्यों करते हैं, जो तुम्हारे किसी काम के नहीं हैं। अगर किसी को इन घड़ों के बारे में पता चल गया, तो वो बिल में गर्म पानी या गर्म तेल डालकर तुम्हारी जान ले लेगा। "

               थोड़ी देर बाद दोनों सर्प अपनी-अपनी जगह वापस चले जाते हैं, लेकिन राजकुमारी दोनों सर्पों के रहस्य को जान  चुकी थी। इसलिए, राजकुमारी पहले राजकुमार को भोजन के साथ जीरा और सरसों का सूप पिला देती है। इसके कुछ समय बाद राजकुमार ठीक हो जाता है ,और  फिर राजकुमारी  उस  बिल के पास जाती है और उस बिल  में गर्म पानी और तेल डाल देती है, जिससे दूसरे सर्प की भी मृत्यु हो जाती है। इसके बाद बिल में रखे सोने से भरे घड़े को बाहर निकालकर दोनों अपने राज्य  लौट जाते हैं।

 राजा देवशक्ति अपने बेटे और उसकी पत्नी का धूमधाम से स्वागत करता है।

कहानी से सीख :- इस कहानी से यह सीख मिलती है कि अगर कोई व्यक्ति किसी का बुरा करने का विचार करता है | तो उसका भी बुरा होना निश्चित है | सर्प ने राजकुमार का बुरा सोचा तो उल्टा उसका बुरा हुआ।

The king was always troubled by the health of the prince. Seeing this, one day the prince moved away from his kingdom to another kingdom and stayed like a beggar in the temple. Rajkumar ruled by the king named Bali in the state where he went. He had two beautiful princesses. Both went to seek their father's blessings every day. One morning, one of the two daughters bowed to the king and said "Hail Maharaj, by your grace everyone in the world is happy." The other daughter said, "Maharaja, may God give you the fruits of your deeds. On hearing this, the king gets angry and orders the ministers to marry this princess speaking harsh words to a poor boy, so that he can do his deeds." Taste yourself. " Due to the king's orders, the minister marries the beggar sitting near the temple. The beggar was the same prince, in whose stomach the snake camped. The princess starts serving as her husband. After a few days, both leave the temple and go on a trip to another country, because both do not think it is right to stay in the temple. During the journey the prince gets tired on the way and rests under a tree. The princess leaves to fetch food from a nearby village. When she returns, she sees a snake coming out of her sleeping husband's mouth. Also, a snake comes out of a nearby bill. The two snakes begin to talk, which the princess overhears. A snake says, "Why are you hurting this prince in the stomach. You are also risking your own life. If someone gives cumin and mustard soup to the prince, then you die Will go. " Then the snake that comes out of the prince's mouth says, "Why do you protect the gold pots kept in this bill, which are of no use to you. If anyone comes to know about these pots, then the hot water in that bill Or putting hot oil will kill you. " After a while both the snakes return to their respective places, but the princess had come to know the secret of both the snakes. Therefore, the princess first feeds the cumin and mustard soup with food to the prince. Shortly after this, the prince recovers, and then the princess goes to that bill and pours hot water and oil into that bill, which also kills the other snake. After this, both of them return to their kingdom after taking out the gold pitcher kept in the bill.King Devashakti greets his son and his wife with pomp. Learn from the story: - It is learned from this story that if a person thinks of doing bad to someone. So it is sure to be bad also. When the serpent thought bad of the prince, he got worse.
